It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Essie Sturdivant (Fairfield, Texas), who passed away on June 3, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Roby Sandford and Lillie Walton Sandford; her husband James Joseph Sturdivant; her son-in-law Frank Dymke; her grandson Steven Lee Martin, Jr.; and her sisters, Audie Mae Harrison and Joy Dean Sturdivant.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sandra Folk (Richard) and Barbara Dymke; her grandchildren, Kimberly Rutherford (Bubba), Cheryl Rice (John Paul Wisdom), Denny Folk (Stacey) and Deena Martin; her great grandchildren, Kyle Sessions, Trey Rutherford (Casey), Kassie Iwinski (Greg), Whitney Ballew (Kary), Taylor Rice, James Logan Rutherford (Alina Hudson), Kyle Goerner (Kennedy Vogel), Connor Rice, Caitlin Rutherford, Camryn Rutherford, Aeren Rutherford and Trent Rutherford; and her great great grandchildren, Cambridge, Townes Rutherford, Aiden, Owen, Emmett, Evan Ballew, Joseph and Eva Iwinski.
