He was predeceased by: his parents, Buddy Ballard and Peggy Hawkins Ballard; his parents-in-law, Patsy and Wiley Stroud; and his brothers-in-law, Blelve Bridges, Mickey Childers and Herb Shaw.
He is survived by: his wife Patti Stroud; his sons, Phillip Ballard (Bekah) and Ethan Ballard (Mitzie); his grandchildren, Cody Ballard (Tanner), Kyle Ballard, Kanon Ballard, Kyler Ballard, Colten Dandridge and Brandon Dandridge; and his siblings, Billy Ballard (Sue), Susian Shaw, Melvin Ballard (Lillian), Glyna Bridges and Slinda Childers. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
