She was predeceased by: her husband Jerry Spencer Cooper; her parents, George Washington and Mary Lena Runyon Hatton; and her granddaughter Sarah Elizabeth Cooper. She is survived by: her grandson Down Syndrome; her significant other Norman Kjos; her children, Pamela Cooper Crowley of San Antonio and Brian Cooper of Travelers Rest; her daughter-in-law Sandy Brandt Cooper of Travelers Rest; her son Mark Cooper of Baton Rouge; and her daughter-in-law Sandra Erickson Cooper of Baton Rouge. She is also survived by seven grandchildren (Kristen Cooper Dain, Kara Crowley Curlin, Katie Cooper Farley, Jared Crowley, Samuel Cooper, Seth Cooper and Sophie Cooper), seven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to San Antonio Fire for Special Needs Adults where her grandson, Jared, is a participant and who supported him as an International Special Olympian in Greece, 2011.
