She was predeceased by: her husband Colonel Chester F; her son Mark A. Cambell; her parents, Cathryn E. Hammons and Charles W. Hammons, Sr.; her brother Tommy C. Hammons; her nephew Johnny M. Hammons; and her nieces, Lauren L. Groover and Kathleen A. Hammons.
She is survived by: her daughter Leslie A. Schlemmer (Bradley D. Schlemmer); her grandsons, Nathan C. Guerra and Benjamin M. Guerra; her stepgrandchildren, Sarah K. Schlemmer and Jacob B. Schlemmer; and her siblings, Sammy L. Hammons, Billy G. Hammons, Charles W. Hammons, Jr. and Karen S. Hammons. She is also survived by twelve nieces, three nephews.
Instead of floral remembrances, the family suggests that donations be made to the charity of the donor's choice to honor Charlene's memory.
