He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlos Renteria and Francisca Renteria; his wife Olivia Renteria; his son Martin Renteria Jr.; and his brother Ron.

He is survived by: his grandsons, Sebastien and Phillip; his siblings, Carlos, Ramon, Jesse, Paul, Connie, Rosa, Lori, Lupe, Francis and Carmen; and his daughter-in-law Pilar.
