He is survived by: his wife Sue Luby of Eustace; his son Joseph Carroll Luby (Tonya) of Eustace, TX.; his granddaughters, Sarah Herbert (Joe) of Clarksville, TN. and Krista Thornton (Trevor); his great grandchild Odin Christopher Thornton of Watertown, NY.; and his pet Bella Jean.
