She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, I. L. Powers (Dude) and Catharine Powers (Bebe); her cousin Johnny Jones; her husband Max; her grandchildren, Sarah, Ruby and Lukas Farley; her brother Chuck Powers (Kay); her siblings-in-law, Mary Graves and Kenny Berry (Beverley); her nephew Chris Powers; and her nieces, Tami Dailey, Brandi Powers and Cayla Andrews. She was also cherished by great nieces, great nephews, more cousins.

She was the first to offer help, bringing food to sick friends; dropping everything to visit someone in need; gathering donations to deliver to neighbors who had lost their home; offering a short-term or even a long-term place to stay for friends of friends that needed it no matter the reason; even volunteering to wait tables at a friend's café and discovering that she very much enjoyed serving and meeting new people.
