He is survived by: his wife Patricia Smith of Etoile; his son Jason; his daughter-in-law Kelly Smith of Etoile; his son Cody Smith of Etoile; his grandchildren, Addison Smith of Etoile, Emily (Case Forrest) of Huntington, Colton Smith of Etoile, Hunter Smith of Garland, TX, Marley Lawrence (Dwyatt Patrick) of Zavalla and Summerrose Smith of Garland, TX; his great grandchildren, Kacie Locke, Eli Haltom, Stihl Forrest and Kamdyn Lawrence; his brothers, Bill (Genevieve Smith) of Kinder, LA and Jerry (Emmy Smith) of Plentywood, MN; his brother-in-law James Hodges of Etoile; and his sisters, Brenda Fruge of Kinder, LA and Tammy (Curt Franklin) of Metairie, LA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
