He was predeceased by: his parents, Nellie Luella (Partin) and Charles Vernon "Charlie" McClure; his grandparents, Bettie and Judge Partin; his wife Marie Little McClure; his son Gerald Mark McClure; and his great grandchild MacKenzie Patterson.
He is survived by: his siblings, T. C., Bennie and Bettie; his daughters, Geralyn "Baby" McClure Franklin (Kenny), Gayla McClure DeRouen and Billie Pearce; his grandchildren, Tanner Franklin (Amber) and Stephanie Patterson (Jeff); his great grandchild Sabrina Patterson; his sisters, Geraldene Runnels and Donna Lee; and his caregivers, Christina, Amber, Elena, Jessica, Mercedes, Michelle, Necole and Samantha. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other family members.
