He was predeceased by: his parents, H. V. Perkins and Nellie Cromer Perkins; his sister Elsie; his granddaughter Lindsey; and his great grandchild Ivan.
He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Nicholas Buchenau Perkins; his daughters, Sherry Langston and Carole Wardroup; his stepchildren, Blaine, Blake Buchenau and Camille Richie; his grandchildren, Robyn Hamm, Bryan Wardroup and Whitney Langston-Lewis; and his great grandchildren, Kynsleigh, Kampbell, Maddyn, Maisyn Hamm and Wesley Wardroup.
The family requests memorials be sent to Amarillo Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, Potter-Randall Democratic Club and the Children's Hospital of Dallas in lieu of flowers.
