It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Carl Smitty of Emory, Texas, born in Dallas, Texas, who passed away on November 9, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bob Smitty and Alta Louise Kelly Smitty; his son James Smitty; and his siblings, Rita Crecy, Shirley Sanders, Charlie Ray Smitty and Granville Smitty.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Smitty of Emory; his daughters, Carolyn Gail Smitty of Caddo Mills and Ruth Ann Willingham (Steve) of Mesquite; and his brother Bobby Lynn Smitty (Angie) of Point. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
