He was predeceased by: his parents, Matthew Anderson Self and Norma Jean Self (Henderson); and his brothers, James Ray Self and David Self. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Carty; his children, Teresa Perez (Jim), Diana Self and Ron Self (Evie); and his grandchildren, Jose Monsour, Angelica Monsour, Christopher "Bo" Monsour, Chris Gregory, Heather Friesel, Ryan Gregory, Devin Self, Alysha Dennis, Evan Dennis and Liam Self. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family and beloved friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lynch Funeral Service (4238 TX-34, Greenville, TX 75402). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Shady Grove Baptist Church (3507 FM 499, Greenville, TX 75401).
