He is survived by: his wife Carolyn; his daughter Jillian Smith; his grandson Ian Mallard of Kerrville, Texas; his son Christopher Smith of Frisco, Texas; his stepdaughter Mary Pierce; his stepgrandchildren, Christopher, Alex, Ashton and Cody of Dennison, Texas; his stepson John Cherry (Christina Delgado) of Sulphur Springs, Texas; and his siblings, Ronnie Smith (Debbie) of Dallas, Texas, Leta Smith (Tom Dunn) of Fort Collins, Colo. and Karen Smith of Carrollton, Texas..
