We are sad to announce that on April 21, 2023, at the age of 73, John William Brooks Jr. of Emory, Texas, born in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father John William Brooks, Sr.; his son John William Brooks III; his brother Randell Brooks; and his siblings-in-law, Tom Burkett and Kay Brooks.
He is survived by: his children, Blake Brooks of Emory, TX, Brittany Brooks of Grand Saline, TX, Kristy Day (Bradley) of Ashdown, AR and Amy Wiley (Dalton) of Emory, TX; his grandchildren, Blake Brooks, Lucas Nelson, Will Wiley and Channing Day; his siblings, Millicent Burkett of Punxsutawney, James Brooks, Joel Brooks (Judy) and Dave Brooks (Cindy Seger); and his sister-in-law Jane Brooks of Punxsutawney. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made, in memory of Mr. Brooks, to the Steffey Church Chapel, 435 Steffey Church Road, Rossiter, PA 15772.
