He was predeceased by: his parents, Wildon Otto and Dixie Delores Norris Melton; and his grandson Bentley Maples. He is survived by: his wife Lejuana Jo Alsip of Emory; his children, Marshal Melton (Brittany) of Grand Saline, Eric Melton of Alba, Kara Melton (Marc Maxfield) of Grand Saline, Desiree Brown (Kelly) of Henderson and Kaylie Hasten of Mineola; his stepchildren, Sean Alsip, Troy Alsip, Sarah Alsip of Emory and Syrena Alsip of Emory; his sisters, Deborah McDonald of Grand Saline, Rebecca Hernandez of Mineola and Lynn Melton of Athens; and his grandchildren, Cameren, Brandon, Bryan, Melany, Hunter, Kylie, Kynzi, Jackson, Everett, Maliah, Ryland and Ryleigh. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
