He is survived by: his former wife Mary Joyce Potts; his children, Sonjia Reep of Emory and Ronald Blanton, Sr. (Darlene) of Emory; his grandchildren, Melody Godfrey (Jason), Sherree Latham (Douglas), John Hill (Rachel), Rhonda Donaldson (Michael) and Ronald Blanton, Jr. (Danelle); and his sister Wanda Blanton Shaw. He is also survived by Great-grandchildren.
