We bid farewell to Mary Jane McCrary of Elysian Fields, Texas, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 10, 2025 at the age of 86. Mary Jane touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Cannon William Jay and Truman Edith Hill Jay; her husband Jack Rogers McCrary, Sr.; her son Jack Rodgers McCrary, Jr.; and her siblings, Frankie Jay Ebarb, C. W. Jay and Aldridge Jay.
She is survived by: her daughter Edie McCrary Henigan (Billy Henigan); her grandchildren, Jack Waler McCrary and Kathryn Jayee Scheel (Brandon Scheel); her great grandchild Reagan Jayne Scheel; and her nephews, James Ebarb (Caye) of Elysian Fields and Jay Ebarb (Judy) of Harleton.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Downs Funeral Home (4608 Elysian Fields Rd, Marshall, TX 75672). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home (4608 Elysian Fields Rd, Marshall, TX 75672). A burial was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at the Woodley Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations are kindly requested to Shriner's Hospital for Cripple Children and/or Bethel Tabernacle.
