He was predeceased by: his parents, Francisco Garza and Maria Garza; and his siblings, Jose Garza, Miguel Garza, Jacinto Garza, Thomas Garza, Maria Solis and Nicholasa Garza.
He is survived by: his wife Elena Garza; his children, Jesus Garza Jr., Javier Garza (Marivel Martinez) and Jennifer Marie Garza (Juan Martinez); his grandchildren, Jesus Garza III, Baroc Garza, Alyssa Garza, Mia Bella Garza, Deuce Garza, Evelyn "Boss" Garza, Damian Villalpando, Ebony Villalpando and Emery Villalpando; and his siblings, Francisco Garza, Jr. (Maria), Ricardo Garza (Lupe), Erineo Garza (Alexis), Hugo Garza (Renee), Juan Garza (Jan) and Aurora Hermosillo (Eduardo). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
