He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Matus and Wilma Matus (Grellhesl); and his sister Frances Matus. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Matus of Elm Mott; his son Randy Matus of Hallsburg; and his siblings, Katherine Foitek (Bill), Larry Matus (Sandy) and David Matus (Donna). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Cemetery Association, St. Martin's Cemetery Association, or the Humane Society of Central Texas.
