He was predeceased by: his parents, DeWitt Talmage Mays and Ruby Mae Kennedy Mays; and his sister Marthell Grigsby. He is survived by: his wife Cindy Mays; his children, Heidi Mays of Spring, Hannah Mays of Elkhart and Tam Mays (Kendall) of Houston; and his siblings, Elaine Lowery (Glenn) of Elkhart, Donetta Petters (Daryl) of Tyler and Marlon Cooper (Virginia) of Palestine. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
