She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Hardy Schmidt and Betty Jean Stroud Schmidt; and her parents-in-law, Edward and Christine Dancer. She is survived by: her husband Eddie Dancer; her son James Dancer (Ashley) of Elkhart, Texas; her grandson Luke Dancer; her brothers, Dobby Schmidt (Debra) and Terry Schmidt of Elkhart, Texas; her sister-in-law Barbara Tidwell (Billy) of Palestine, Texas; her niece Staci Wolf (Adam); her great-nephew Tripp of Elkhart, Texas.; her nephew David Tidwell; her niece Debbie Boydston; and her close friend Lovie. She is also survived by other family members, numerous friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the First Baptist Church - Elkhart (424 E Parker St, Elkhart, TX 75839). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the First Baptist Church (424 E Parker St, Elkhart, TX 75839). A burial was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 at the Pilgrim Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Elkhart Elementary Library Fund to honor the beloved Debbie Dancer.
