With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carolyn Ann Jones of Elkhart, Texas, born in Freeport, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 13, 2024 at the age of 83. She was predeceased by: her husband Jerrel Jones; her parents, Vincent Martin and Katherine Garner Martin; her grandparents, Elizabeth and Nickalus Martin; her children, Sheryl and Darrell Jones; and her siblings, Sharon Odell and Howard Martin.
She is survived by: her sister Peggy Oxsheer; her nieces and nephews, Loretta (Pat), Lorenda Oxsheer, Robert (Rachel) and Phillip (Cheryl); her siblings-in-law, Joann (Charles Herring) and George Odell; her granddaughters, Chelsea Jones (Gerald) and Katy Evans (Bryan); and her great grandchildren, Delvyn, Kamri, Cameron, DeMarco, Miles and Lilly.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bailey & Foster Funeral Home (207 S Magnolia St, Palestine, TX 75801). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Cedar Creek Missionary Baptist Church (8513 FM322, Palestine, TX 75801).
