It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John R. Shiplette of Elgin, Texas, who passed away on June 29, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Jeanette Shiplette; his sons, John and James Shiplette; and his parents, Reginald Shiplette and Marion Shiplette. He was also cherished by six grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, do what he would have done: Leave some cold drinks for the mailman; cover lunch for the EMS workers, law enforcement and military personnel; buy some lemonade from the neighborhood kids; make a friend; help your neighbor and improve your community.
