He was predeceased by: his parents, Lorenzo "Lencho" Guzman and Severina "Tita" Guzman; and his siblings, Lucia and Mateo. He is survived by: his wife Maria Louisa; his brothers, Eloy and Luis Guzman; his daughters, Olivia (Tommy) and Veronica (Eddie); his grandchildren, Stathis (Wesley) and Cassandra (Daniel); his great grandchildren, Lola, Triss, Phoebe and Harper; his son Michael Guzman (Dotty); his nephew Hector Hernandez; his godson Arthur Hernandez (Rick Diaz); his brother-in-law Hector Delgado; and his grandson Cameron Connolly. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces, and in-laws.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home (604 TX-95, Elgin, TX 78621). A rosary was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (302 W 11th St, Elgin, TX 78621).
