She was predeceased by: her parents, Jerry D. Lane and Eula Handy. She is survived by: her former husband John Nixon, Sr.; her siblings, Joseph Ballard, Tony Jenkins, Aldridge Jenkins and Junius Lane; her sons, Roy Lane J. (Eunice Lane), Leander Jett, Jr. and John Pernell Nixon, Jr. (Masika Sanders); her grandchildren, Eunice Lane, Troy Lane, Damian Lane, Leslie Lane, Roy Lane, Jr. and Bruce Edmondson; her sister Mary Lane; her daughter Carolyn Roberson (Robby Mitchell); and her nieces and nephews, Robbyn Mitchell and Joseph Mitchell. She is also survived by twenty great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Winn's Memorial Baptist Church (605 Madison St, Elgin, TX 78621). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the same location.
