He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Cruz Diaz and Refugio Hernandez; his daughter Teresa Diaz; his sister Maricruz Muniz; and his nephew Fernando Cardenas.
He is survived by: his daughters, Patricia Newton (Larry), Irma Diaz, Martha Sevier (Rudy) and Josie Barragan (Levon); his wife Martha Diaz; his son Abraham Vela Delgado (Elizabeth Adame); and his sisters, Rosa Cardenas, Teresa Young and Lydia Blanco.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to welcome donations to Shannon Oncology dept and Hospice of San Angelo.
