With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Socorro B. Gonzalez (El Paso, Texas), who passed away on April 12, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Socorro is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Socorro's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jose Barron and Trinidad Hernandez; and her husband Fernando Santos Gonzalez. She is survived by: her children, Soledad Gonzalez and Jose Gonzalez; and her granddaughters, Carolina Valle (Eric Zheng) and Rebeca Valle.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Sunset Funeral Home- Americas (9521 N Loop Dr, El Paso, TX 79907). A rosary was held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Sunset Funeral Homes - Americas (9521 N Loop Dr, El Paso, TX 79907). A Mass was held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Mark Catholic Church (11700 Pebble Hills Blvd, El Paso, TX 79936). A graveside service was held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Ft. Bliss National Cemetery (5200 Fred Wilson Ave, El Paso, TX 79906).
