With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Norma G. Duque of El Paso, Texas, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her mother Victoria Mendiola; her brother Jesus Mendiola; her nephew Rafael Mendiola; and her nieces, Rosa Llamas and Theresa Llamas.
She is survived by: her husband Abel Duque; her children, Jasmin Duque, April Duque and Victoria Duque; her granddaughters, Isabella, Elizabeth and Gabriela; her father Efrain Mendiola; and her siblings, Victoria Garcia (Baudelio Garcia), Abigail Marrufo (Carlos Marrufo), Lourdes Mendiola, Yolanda Quesada, Ernesto Mendiola, Joe Mendiola (Patricia Puga), Noe Mendiola and Rafael Mendiola (Carmen Mendiola). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mt. Carmel Funeral Home - El Paso (1755 N Zaragoza Rd, El Paso, TX 79936). A rosary was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church (8600 Winchester Rd, El Paso, TX 79907). A graveside service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Mount Carmel Cemetery (401 S Zaragoza Rd, El Paso, TX 79907).
Her final act of love prior to leaving this world was saving several lives by donating her organs - which is fitting for how she lived her life.
