He is survived by: his children, Valerie Meraz, Deyanira Ruiz, Leonardo III and Michael Melendez; his parents, Leonardo Melendez and Esther Melendez; his sister Dora Hernandez; and his grandchildren, Aziel and Emilia Gutierrez.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the San Jose Funeral Home-East (10950 Pellicano Dr, El Paso, TX 79935). A rosary will be held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the St. Ignatius Catholic Church (408 Park St, El Paso, TX 79901).
