We are sad to announce that on October 21, 2023, at the age of 91, Irene C. McGowan of El Paso, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Huerkamp and Rose Huerkamp (Oberbrockling); her husband James Edward McGowan; and her siblings, Alvin and Mary Josette.

She is survived by: her children, Jodeen Alseth (Greg), James Jr. (Suzy Mahaklan), Robert (Dawn Colker) and Charles (Rikki Sutherland); and her sister Marcella Chandler of Plano, Texas.. She is also survived by several step-grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and several step-great-grandchildren.
