David T. Chavez Sr. Obituary
The passing of David T. Chavez Sr. of El Paso, Texas, born in Pueblo, Colorado leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on December 7, 2024 at the age of 98. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Minerva Alvarado Chavez; his parents, Manuel Norberto and Francisca Chavez; and his siblings, Carmen Jemente and Moises Chavez.
He is survived by: his children, David Chavez Jr. (Rosie), Martha Chavez, Tom (Martha Patricia), Irene Gomez Leon and Norma Schriefer (Richard). He is also survived by ten grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Funeraria Del Angel Central (3839 Montana Ave, El Paso, TX 79903). A rosary was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Pius X Catholic Church (1050 N Clark Dr, El Paso, TX 79905). The military honors was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Fort Bliss National Cemetery (5200 Fred Wilson Ave, El Paso, TX 79906).
