It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Aurelio Lara (El Paso, Texas), who passed away on January 2, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Aurelio has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
He was predeceased by: his siblings, Alberto Lara, Dolorez Chavez and Cruz Contreras. He is survived by: his wife Maria Luisa Pacheco; and his children, Ruben Lara (Genoveva), Yolanda Loya (Alfredo), Alicia Duran (Ricardo), Virginia Cabrera (Jesus), Alfredo Lara and Rebecca Lara. He is also survived by 10 Grandchildren, 19 Great grandchildren, and 7 Great-Great Grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the San Jose Funeral Home-East (10950 Pellicano Dr, El Paso, TX 79935). A rosary will be held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Socorro Mission Church (328 S Nevarez Rd, Socorro, TX 79927).
