It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Yvonne Nilson of El Campo, Texas, born in Wharton, Texas, who passed away on July 4, 2022, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Simmons and Alene Simmons; and her grandparents, George, Alice Simmons, Joe and Frieda Rieger.
She is survived by: her daughter Shanna Rachelle; her husband Bob Nilson; her daughter Leah Morton (Chad); her sisters, Sherry and Kathy Simmons; her stepmother Annett Simmons; her grandchildren, Remington Morton, Grace, Rachel, Margaret and Allison Evans; and also Rachel.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Houston Hospice-El Campo, Wounded Warriors, or Saint Jude in memory of Yvonne Nilson.
