He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Howard Alton and Helen M. Cirillo; his wife Ricarda Torres Alton; his children, Howard Arthur Alton and Mary "Sandy" Gonzales; and his sister Patricia Whitley. He is also survived by his daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Triska Funeral Home (612 Merchant St, El Campo, TX 77437-3440). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
