He is survived by: his children, James Medellin (Jamie) of El Campo and Cynthia Olguin-Pozas of El Campo; and his siblings, Severiana Medellin Gil of El Campo, Eulogia Medellin Gil of El Campo, Juana Medellin Gil of Houston, Maria Santos Medellin Gil of Houston, Pedro Medellin Gil of Queretaro, Salomon Medellin Gil of Queretaro, Ofelia Medellin Gil of Queretaro, Concepsion Medellin Gil, Pablo Medellin Gil of Queretaro and Celso Medellin Gil of Queretaro, Mex.. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
