He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph Machala and Julia Machala (Kubin); his wife Margie Balcar; his daughter Melanie Ann; and his siblings, Angie Burns, Cecilia Hollan, Victor and Francis Machala.
He is survived by: his daughter Donna Raybon (Gary) of Wharton; his grandson Ross Raybon of Fort Worth; his siblings, Adele Marie Machala of Victoria, Joe Machala (June) of Kettle Falls, WA and Gerry Machala (Debbie) of Gretna, LA; and his siblings-in-law, Johnnie Balcar of Schulenburg and Mary Jane Pesek (Stanley) of Schulenburg. He is also survived by extended family including numerous nieces, nephews and many double first cousins.
Memorial donations may be made to the Wharton County 100 Club, St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, or the Wharton County Peace Officer Memorial.
