He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert "Gib" Chambles and Alice Chambles; his brother Larry Chambles; and his niece Leigh Ann Larsen. He is survived by: his daughters, Cynthia Lesko (Michael) and Suzanne Rain; his grandchildren, Megan Hawthorn (Benjamin), Allison Lesko and Alice Rain; his great grandchildren, Nicholas "Nico" Colunga and Rowen Hawthorn; his sister Margaret Reese; his sister-in-law Linde Chambles; his nieces, Kappy Allen (Jeff Garrett) and Hattie Kuper (Shane); his nephew John Chambles; and his caregiver Lilly Rangel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Swedish Lutheran Cemetery, care of the First Lutheran Church of El Campo, or to Houston Hospice of El Campo.
