He was predeceased by: his mother Rosie Hlavaty; his parent-in-law Jerry Hlavaty; and his close friend Otis. He is survived by: his wife Doris Hlavaty Gaskamp; his daughters, Jennifer Johnson Green (Joel) and Jamie Gaskamp Gates (Barrett); his grandchildren, Jaydon Green, Allan Gates and Avery Gates; his siblings, Larry Gaskamp (Kathy), Karen Dodwell (Steve) and Carla Brady (Tim); and his brothers-in-law, Larry Hlavaty and Dennis Hlavaty. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A rosary will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Triska Funeral Home (612 Merchant St, El Campo, TX 77437-3440). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Christ Lutheran Church (1401 Ave I, El Campo, TX 77437). A burial will be held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at the St. Andrews Catholic Cemetery.
