We are sad to announce that on August 16, 2020, at the age of 89, Rita Vackar of El Campo, Texas, born in Placedo, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, James Michael and Mary Marik Borak; her husband Albert; and her brothers, Simon and Frank Borak.

She is survived by: her children, Joy Janak (Randy) of El Campo, Louis Vackar (Vicki) of Fulshear and Douglas Vackar (Madge) of El Campo; her grandchildren, Lauren Roeling (Jacob), Cassey Niemeier (Scott), Nathan Vackar (Kimberly), Courtney Scott (Chris), Lindsey Jo Davidson (Jeremy), Troy Vackar (Kendall), Jason Petersen (Jessica) and Harrell Petersen; and her brother Charles Borak (Nancy). She is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren.

Due to Covid restrictions, there is a limited number of people allowed in the funeral home and at church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Philip Catholic Church.
