It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Petra Puente Zuniga of El Campo, Texas, who passed away on December 23, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Irineo Puente and Paulina Avalos Puente; and her brother Domingo. She is survived by: her husband Artemio Zuniga of Louise; her son Brian Zuniga (Dahlia) of Louise; her grandchildren, Aidan, Avery, Brian Jr. and Olivia; her siblings, Antonio, Hugo, Margavo, Josefina, Nieves, Eufemia and Antonia; and her close friend Irene Blaylock.
