He was predeceased by: his parents, Alois Bittner and Irene Meismer Bittner; his parents-in-law, Alvin and Henrietta Popp; and his brothers-in-law, Robert Chase and Dale J. Popp.
He is survived by: his wife Annette Popp Bittner of El Campo; his sons, Scott Bittner (Wendy) of Needville and Lance Bittner (Tiffany) of Needville; his grandchildren, Kaiden Bittner, Konnor Bittner, Madeline Bittner, Kaylee Bittner, Addison Bittner, Emerson Bittner and Kinsly Bittner; and his siblings, David Bittner (Becky), Tommy Bittner, Al Joe Bittner, Timmy Bittner (Brenda), Frank Bittner (Renee), Larry Bittner (Cathy), Mary Jean Crader (Mike), Rita Kay Chase and Janice Viaclovsky (Ron). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
