She was predeceased by: her parents, Jaroslov Filip and Katerina Drazkova Filip; her husband Charlie Hlozek; her sisters, Stepanka Vlachova and Jaroslova Forsterova; and her son-in-law Marty Novosad.
She is survived by: her daughters, Geraldine Bandish (Edwin) of Rosenberg, Helen Hicks of Baytown and Nancy Pfeil (Calvin) of El Campo; her grandchildren, Jennifer Williams, Jason Bandish, Jamie Carter, Rob Hicks, Chris Novosad and Sara Reeves; and her great grandchildren, Madelyn Novosad, Zachary Novosad, Kendall Novosad, Madison Novosad, Joshua Williams, Cameron Gomez, Hannah Williams, Lincoln Bandish and Alexa Carter. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations in memory of Marie may be made to St. Philip Catholic Church or American Cancer Society.
