He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonardo H., Sr. and Maria DeJesus Perez Nunez; his wife Sofia; his siblings, Mike Nunez, Leon Nunez, Jr. and Delores Nunez; his nephews, Michael Nunez, Jr. and John Nunez, Jr.; his niece Traci Ortiz; and his sisters-in-law, Antonia and Aida Nunez.
He is survived by: his children, Jayme Nunez of El Campo and Nicholas Nunez of El Campo; his siblings, John Nunez (Josie) of Clute, Jose Nunez (Elida) of Wharton, Guadalupe Nunez (Mary) of Pasadena, Joe I. Nunez (Janie) of Houston, Felix Nunez (Mamie) of Rosenberg, Pete Nunez (Mary) of Danevang, Frank Nunez of El Campo, Maria DeLeon (Julian) and Carmen Gomez (Melchor) of El Campo; and his sisters-in-law, Sylvia Nunez, Dolly Nunez, Anita Bustamante and Fran Bustamante. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Triska Funeral Home (612 Merchant St, El Campo, TX 77437-3440). A rosary will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Robert's Catholic Church (512 Tegner St, El Campo, TX 77437). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at the Holy Cross Memorial Park (1617 S Mechanic St, El Campo, TX 77437).
