He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Shelton and Lola Mae Knous Shelton; his wife Marie Scherbig Shelton; his son Leroy Shelton, Jr.; and his siblings, Shirley Henson, Ann Wheeland, Billy and Sonny Shelton.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Bolton of Kerrville, Suzanne Summers of El Campo, Lisa Zamazal of El Campo, Kimberly Francis of El Campo, Jerry Shelton of El Campo and Michael Shelton of El Campo; and his siblings, Carolyn Vacker and Dickie Shelton of Houston.
