He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonzo Young and Dorothy Carroll Young. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Karnei Young of El Campo; his sons, Michael Young of Oregon, Lawrence Young, Jr. and Alvin; and his siblings, Darlene Singleton of Austin and Donald Young (Janie) of Los Fresnos. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
