He was predeceased by: his father Henry Marek; his wife Janell Marek; his siblings, Agnes Hajovsky (Georgie Bostik) and Emil Marek; and his son Dennis Marek.
He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Carol Marek; his daughter Denise Jaks (Vic) of El Campo; his sister Edna Krenek of El Campo; his granddaughter Stacie Gundermann (Garrett) of Wharton; and his great grandchildren, McKynlie, Coleson and Kaiden Gundermann.
