He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Bode Sr. and Edna Bode (Dietz); and his wife Toni Bode. He is survived by: his children, Mitzi Schmidt (Rick) of El Campo, Cherie Weishuhn (Chad) of Ganado, Michael Bode of El Campo and Kelly Bode (Brenda) of El Campo; his grandchildren, Justin Clark, Toni Cash, Tamara Schmidt, Tate Schmidt, Shannon Unsicker and Katie Bode; and his great grandchildren, Zachary Clark, Camden Cash, Kennedy Cash and Cannon Schmidt.
Memorial donations in memory of John W. "Billy" Bode may be made to the Wharton County Youth Fair or Christ Lutheran Church.
