We are sad to announce that on January 8, 2024, at the age of 80, Jo Ann Hlavaty of El Campo, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Balcar and Mary Bartosh Balcar; and her siblings, Jennie Lee Balcar and Adolph Balcar (Sophie). She is survived by: her children, Nancy Hlavaty Fucik of El Campo, David Hlavaty (Lara) of Houston, Philip Hlavaty (Amy) of McKinney and Gary Hlavaty (Traci) of Katy; her grandchildren, Stephanie Janssen (Kyle), Jessica Fucik (Garrison Smith), Allison Fucik, Zachary Johnson, Krysten Hlavaty, Ayden Hlavaty, Lucas Hlavaty, Shea Hlavaty, Cameron Hlavaty and Logan Hlavaty; her great grandchildren, Case Janssen and Sadie Janssen; and her siblings, Mary Lee Smajstrla and Victor Balcar (Mary Jane). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
