She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Mike Labay and Viola Malek Labay; her brother Delfin Labay (Ernest); and her grandson Neil McDonald. She is survived by: her husband Ernest J. Opella; her daughters, Sharyl McDonald (Nate) of Bay City, Diane Morton (Randy) of Hallettsville and Susan Maguire (Scott) of Beeville; her grandchildren, James McDonald (Callie), Taylor Lesmeister (Brian), Jessie Ceku (Johan), John Opella (Kailin), Sydnie Maguire and Kaleb Maguire; her great grandchildren, Maddox McDonald, Memphis McDonald and Maximus Ceku; and her sons-in-law, Nate McDonald, Randy Morton and Scott Maguire.
