He was predeceased by: his father James Sanders Sr.; and his brother-in-law Carl Foshee. He is survived by: his wife Carol Nelson Sanders of El Campo; his sons, James Sanders (Denise) of Edna and Steven Sanders (Kalynn) of El Campo; his grandchildren, Garrett Tupa III (Brittany), Krista Sanders, Shaie Sanders, Celeste Sanders, Austin Sanders, Shannan Sanders and Addisyn Sanders; his great grandchild Rylee Tupa; and his sister Diana Sue Foshee.

Memorial donations in memory of Jimmy may be made to First Baptist Church of El Campo.
